
Saudi Arabia reported on Wednesday 3,402 new coronavirus cases, raising its total to 194,225.
In a daily briefing on the outbreak, the Health Ministry said 401 of the infections were confirmed in Riyadh, 283 in al-Dammam, 229 in al-Hofuf, 198 in the holy city of Makkah, 172 in Jeddah and 154 in Madinah.
Recoveries rose to 132,760 after 1,994 people were declared virus-free. Forty-nine fatalities were reported, taking the toll to 1,698.
