Saudi Arabia Reports 3,379 New Virus Cases

Saudi health authorities announced on Sunday 3,379 new coronavirus cases, bringing the tally in the country to 157,612.

The Health Ministry also reported 37 new deaths, which increased the Kingdom’s overall coronavirus death toll to 1,267.

Health Ministry spokesman Dr. Mohammed Abdelali said in his press briefing on the pandemic that 2,213 more patients have recovered, with the total recoveries reaching 101,130.

Saudi Arabia ended a nationwide curfew and lift restrictions on businesses from Sunday morning after three months of lockdown.

In its press briefing, the health ministry said it was very important to “cautiously return to normal” while “maintaining the new habits” to confronting the coronavirus.

It also stressed the importance of social distancing to fight the pandemic.
