Saudi Arabia has a total of 170,639 cases of the coronavirus after 3,372 more people tested positive for the COVID-19 disease, the Health Ministry said Thursday.
The ministry said that so far, 117,882 persons have recovered after recording the highest daily recovery of 5,085 patients.
The death toll from the outbreak rose by 41 in the Kingdom to reach 1,428, it added.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Jarrah bin Mohammed Al-Jarrah, told the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Thursday that nine factories across the Kingdom have a daily production capacity of 2.5 million masks to meet the needs of the Saudi market.
SPA said that the Saudi Food and Drug General Authority (SFDA) launched "Tameni" Application that allows consumers to know the locations of masks and sterilizers in more than 1,000 pharmacies in various governorates and regions.
