Saudi Arabia Records 3,989 New Coronavirus Cases

The Saudi Health Ministry announced on Sunday that there were 3,989 new confirmed cases of the COVID-19 disease in the Kingdom.

Of the new cases, 487 were reported in Hufof, 389 in Riyadh, 320 in Dammam, 310 in Makkah, 275 in Taif and 186 in Madinah.

The total number of cases rose to 182,493, said ministry spokesman Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulali.

As many as 2,627 patients have recovered, bringing the total recoveries to 124,755, he stated.

The spokesman added that 40 patients died, raising the death toll from the coronavirus in Saudi Arabia to 1,551.
