Saudi Arabia Records 2,779 New Virus Cases

The Saudi Health Ministry announced 2,779 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, raising the tally in the Kingdom to 232,259.

The Ministry said there were 1,742 recoveries in the past 24 hours, increasing the number of patients who have recovered from the coronavirus to 167,138.

According to the Ministry, 42 patients also died from complications linked to the COVID-19 disease, bringing the Kingdom’s death toll to 2,223.

There were 62,898 active coronavirus cases, the ministry said, adding that the number of patients in intensive care units stood at 2,245.
