Saudi Arabia and 21 other countries including Egypt, the US, the UK, Greece, Cyprus, Jordan, and Pakistan, participated in a multi-national joint military drill on Saturday in Egypt’s “Mohammed Naguib” base.
The "Bright Star 2021" joint drill aims at exchanging expertise, coordinating joint work between the participating forces from brethren and friendly countries, and also aims at unifying operational concepts and refining the skills of the participating elements.
It also aims at developing the operation methods and training in combating terrorism, enhancing maritime security, training in managing joint air operations, and in discovering and destroying hostile unmanned aircraft.
The military training is expected to last until September 17.
