Saudi Arabia, Pakistan Sign Energy Agreements

Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid al-Falih signed on Monday several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Pakistan during the visit by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to Islamabad, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

Four deals covered energy and mining, with one agreement worth SR22.5 billion. Another on renewable energy is worth SR7.5 billion.

The third is related to the refining and petrochemicals sector and is worth SR37 billion.

The fourth agreement focused on funding an LNG project to secure Pakistan fuel supplies, including power generation, and is worth SR1.2 billion.
