The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has continued to implement a project in Yemen’s Aden Governorate to improve school health services and manage malnutrition cases for students and educational staff.

During December 2020, a total of 45,963 free services were provided in the form of psychological, social, and nutritional support benefiting 12,773 students and staff in 62 schools in eight directorates in Aden.

The services included 11,417 various medical examinations for up to 11,908 beneficiaries in addition to 201 psychological sessions to 10,300 individuals, as well as 316 social support sessions to 10,532 cases, and 571 nutrition examinations.

Director of the school health department in Aden Dr. Noura Al-Koni said that individuals and communities that need assistance were reached, and services and examinations were fully provided to schools in Aden.

The mobile clinics inside schools include a general physician, a nurse, a psychiatrist, and a social assistant in addition to advanced medical equipment and medicines for free, she added.

She expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia represented by the Center for its generous efforts in Aden and other Yemeni governorates.

In Marib governorate, KSrelief launched training programs for the “Maharati Biyadi” project’s second edition as part of efforts to improve the livelihoods of orphans and family members.
