Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, offered on Monday their condolences to the Philippines over Sunday’s twin bombing against a cathedral in Jolo island, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

In a cable to Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, King Salman offered his condolences on behalf of the Saudi government and people.

Twenty people were killed and 100 wounded in the weekend’s bombings.

The first explosion went off inside the cathedral on Jolo island, in Sulu province, and was followed by a second blast outside, which was detonated as security forces raced to the scene, officials said.
