Saudi Arabia: More than 240,000 Recoveries from Coronavirus

The Saudi Health Ministry announced on Sunday 1,357 new coronavirus cases in the Kingdom, raising the tally to 278,835.

Of the new cases, 153 were recorded in Makkah, 94 in the capital Riyadh, 72 in Jeddah and 64 in Hufof.

The ministry said that there have been no reports of coronavirus infections at the holy sites.

The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom increased to 240,081 after 2,533 more patients recovered from the COVID-19 disease, it said.

A total of 2,917 people have died from complications caused by the virus after the ministry reported 30 more deaths.
