The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center launched a public campaign in Saudi Arabia on Monday to raise funds to Pakistan after deadly floods. Donations can be made through KSRelief’s “Sahem” platform.
KSRelief’s supervisor general Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah said the center was organizing the campaign to support flood victims in Pakistan.
“This was in implementation of the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman. The campaign, launched by KSRelief, comes in support of the humanitarian efforts and delivery assistance being carried out by the Kingdom ever since the start of the natural calamity,” he said.
Al-Rabeeah urged people to donate to the good cause by using the “Sahem” app or website or to deposit money in one of the center’s bank accounts at a number of Saudi banks. He added that no administrative expenses will be deducted from donations.
He said more than 1,300 people have been killed and over 13,000 injured in the devastating flooding that also resulted in the total destruction of more than 550,000 homes and caused partial damage to one million homes, in addition to heavy damage to roads, bridges and commercial shops.
“KSRelief is the body authorized to collect donations directed to send abroad. There is strict oversight by the center to ensure that the aid reaches its beneficiaries in the designated countries of the world,” he said.
