
Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan announced Monday the launch of a new program to support cultural projects through the Saudi Cultural Development Fund.
The program is funded by the Quality-of-Life Program with a total of 181 million Saudi riyals ($48.266 million).
It aims to support and fund cultural projects to enable them to kick start, expand, and upgrade their services.
Establishments operating in the private sector, associations, and civil institutions will receive funds for their projects if they are among the 16 cultural sectors.
Eligible sectors include content creation and publishing, movies production, cultural research and studies, education and training, digital transformation, promoting and marketing cultural woks in addition to presenting awards and participating in cultural activities.
The program comes as part of efforts exerted to develop the cultural sector and achieve sustainability through supporting cultural activities and projects.
