Saudi Arabia and France signed on Monday a cooperation agreement in the fields of culture, arts, cinema industry, theater and music, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The agreement was signed by Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad during a meeting in Paris with French Minister of Culture, Francoise Nyssen.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the visit paid by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to France.
The officials also discussed issues of joint interest, in addition to means of exchanging experiences and expanding cooperation and partnership in the fields of culture, arts and media.
Alawaad also announced that Saudi Arabia will participate in Cannes Film Festival 2018 through a pavilion sponsored by Saudi Film Council.
