Saudi Arabia: Family Gatherings Cause Spike in Infections among Women, Children

Saudi Arabia reported on Monday 1,996 new coronavirus cases.

Health Ministry spokesman Dr. Mohammed Abdelali told a daily press briefing that nine new fatalities were registered, taking the Kingdom’s toll to 255.

The number of recoveries has risen to 12,737.

Seven percent of the new cases were reported in children, Abdelali added, noting that family gatherings have led to a rise in infections among women and children.
