
Saudi Arabia said on Saturday that it recorded 1,177 new coronavirus cases and 16 deaths from complications caused by the COVID-19 disease.
The new cases brought the tally of infections in the Kingdom to 500,083, while the new fatalities increased the death toll to 7,963, the Health Ministry said.
Of the total number of cases, 10,895 remain active and 1,395 in critical condition, it said.
The Ministry also announced that 1,516 patients had recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 481,225.
The Ministry renewed its call on the public to register to receive the coronavirus vaccine and adhere to the precautionary measures.
