The Saudi Center for International Strategic Partnerships plans to establish the Institute of Agricultural Technology and Food Production in the al-Jouf region.

The announcement came during a meeting with Governor of al-Jouf Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz to discuss the final preparations to establish the institute.

The region is known for the quality of agriculture and high production of some crops.

Prince Faisal stressed the need to cooperate to find means and opportunities that enable Saudis to highlight their capabilities to contribute to agricultural development and achieve Vision 2030 goals that aim to enhance food and water security.

The meeting was attended by CEOs of seven major agricultural companies, including the Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation Ahmed al-Fuhaid, and the director-general of Saudi Center for International Strategic Partnerships Matar bin Eid el-Enzi.

Prince Faisal pointed out that Saudi Arabia is moving steadily towards achieving the goals of Vision 2030, despite the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic that swept the world.

He indicated that everyone is witnessing the emergence of signs of overcoming the crisis with the drop in infections and the increase in the number of immunized people.
