Saudi Arabia Donates SR20 Mln to Provide Covid Vaccines in Least Developed Islamic Countries

Saudi Arabia has donated 20 million riyals to support Islamic cooperation in combating the coronavirus pandemic. (SPA)

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation announced on Monday that Saudi Arabia has donated 20 million riyals (around 5.3 million dollars) to support Islamic cooperation in combating the coronavirus pandemic.

The donation will be dedicated to least developed countries.

The OIC said it covers 22 members of the organization.

OIC Secretary-General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen said the donations will be transferred to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief).

The Kingdom will continue to support efforts to fight the impact of the pandemic, he stressed.
