
Saudi Arabia’s Citizen Account Program has deposited SR2.5 billion (some $650 million) for supporting beneficiaries of the 19th installment payments for June.
Total compensation for the previous installment paid retroactively stood at SR9.2 million ($3.45 million).
The percentage of eligible beneficiaries for this installment was 83 percent, surpassing the 12.4 million beneficiaries’ threshold value.
While the total disbursed payments, since the start of the program, amounted to more than SR42.5 billion ($12 billion), and retroactive payments amounted to 19, exceeding SR342 million ($91 million).
At least 44 percent of the total beneficiaries received full benefits with average support of SR1,000 per household, and that the heads of households benefiting from the program exceeded 2.2 million while the number of dependents exceeds 8.6 million.
The Citizen Account Program in Saudi Arabia is a cash transfer program that started in December 2017.
It is adopted and implemented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development.
Through the program, citizens in Saudi Arabia get monthly payments from the state.
It provides information on the amount of support expected to be obtained using the estimated support calculator through the Citizen Account portal.
Beneficiaries can change their bank account by entering the portal and going to “Request Details” page, then bank account data, and then change the IBAN number.
