Saudi Arabia Denounces Terrorist Attack on Ministry of Communications in Kabul

An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed Saudi Arabia's condemnation of the double terrorist attack on the Ministry of Communications in the Afghan capital Kabul which resulted in killing and injuring a number people .

The source expressed condolences to the families of the victims, the government and the brotherly Afghan people, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

He wished a speedy recovery for the injured, stressing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's stand with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan against terrorism and extremism.

A suicide blast rocked Afghanistan's capital Saturday during a gun battle with security forces.

According to the Associated Press, Police chief Gen. Sayed Mohammad Roshandil said the bomber blew himself up outside the Telecommunications Ministry, clearing the way for four gunmen to enter the building and the heavily guarded government compound.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
