Saudi Arabia Confirms 799 New COVID-19 Cases

Saudi Arabia recorded 799 new confirmed coronavirus cases and seven deaths on Sunday.

The new fatalities brought the death toll from complications caused by the COVID-19 disease to 6,754.

With the new cases, 398,435 people have now contracted the disease in the Kingdom, the Health Ministry said.

Of the total number of cases, 8,360 remain active and 915 in critical condition.

The Ministry also announced that 548 patients had recovered from the coronavirus, bringing the total number of recoveries in Saudi Arabia to 383,321.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs temporarily closed 10 mosques in five regions after 10 worshipers tested positive for COVID-19.

The new move brought the total number of mosques closed in 63 days to 552, of which 526 have been reopened after being sterilized.
