Saudi Arabia condemned on Saturday the terrorist attack that targeted a hotel in the Somali port city of Kismayu.
An official source at the Foreign Ministry renewed the Kingdom’s solidarity with Somalia against all forms of violence, terrorism and extremism.
At least 26 people were killed when al-Shabaab extremist militants stormed the hotel on Friday after targeting it with a car bomb, while local elders and lawmakers were meeting to discuss upcoming elections.
The siege lasted for almost 12 hours and only ended on Saturday morning after clashes with security forces.
