Saudi Arabia condemned on Tuesday Israeli authorities for their ongoing violations of the rights of the Palestinian people and defiance of international resolutions.
Saudi Arabia made its stance during a cabinet session held in Makkah and chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The ministers slammed Israel for approving the construction of 2,070 settlement units in the occupied West Bank.
This reflects Israel’s continued violation of Palestinian rights, they said.
The cabinet also condemned last week’s terrorist attack in the Belgian city of Liege and the recent bombing in the Afghan capital Kabul.
The Kingdom therefore reiterated the need for greater international efforts to confront and defeat terrorism.
King Salman, who had arrived in Makkah on Monday to spend the remaining ten days of the holy month of Ramadan there, highlighted Umrah rituals in the holy city and the pilgrims who performed them.
He also wished newly appointed ministers success in their new posts, thanking outgoing ministers for their service of religion and the nation.
The cabinet, for its part, thanked King Salman for his royal decree that saw the reshuffle of ministers, saying it reflects his keenness on maintaining efforts to develop and modernize the Kingdom.
