The Saudi General Directorate of Passports has announced the continuation of the suspension of travelling of citizens and expatriates to Iran.

The measure comes within the framework of the health procedures adopted in the Kingdom to prevent any new coronavirus infections.

Based on the requirements of maintaining public health, the entry of non-Saudi travelers who have previously been in Iran shall not be allowed, until after the expiration of a period that exceeds the maximum limit of the incubation period of the virus after their departure from Iran.

The spokesman of the General Directorate of Passports stressed that the provisions of the travel documents system and its executive regulation shall be applied to all citizens who violate the travel ban to Iran and shall be subjected to quarantine for a period of (14) days.

In case it was proven that this decision was violated by one of the expatriates, he shall not be allowed to return to the Kingdom, the spokesman said.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the spokesman called on all those coming to Saudi Arabia to disclose to the Passport Officer about their presence in Iran during the two weeks preceding their arrival in the Kingdom.
