Saudi Arabia and Poland sign mutual visa exemption agreement for diplomats

Saudi Arabia and Poland took a step towards deeper diplomatic engagement during high-level talks in Warsaw, where discussions on bilateral cooperation and global security culminated in a new agreement easing official travel between the two countries.

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, met Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, during his official visit to Poland. The meeting focused on the state of relations between Riyadh and Warsaw, with both sides reviewing existing ties and exploring ways to enhance and develop cooperation across a range of sectors.

The two ministers also exchanged views on political developments and discussed several issues of mutual interest. Particular attention was given to efforts aimed at strengthening regional and international security and stability, reflecting shared concerns over evolving geopolitical challenges and the need for continued dialogue and coordination.

Following the talks, the two sides signed an agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of Poland on the mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports. The agreement is intended to advance shared interests resulting from the visa exemption and will be applied in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in both countries.

The signing of the agreement marked a concrete outcome of Prince Faisal bin Farhan’s visit, signalling a willingness on both sides to facilitate closer official engagement and reinforce diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Poland.
