Saudi Arabia will always support the territorial integrity of Morocco and regards Rabat as a “red line” that should not be crossed, said the Kingdom’s ambassador to Rabat Abdullah bin Saad al-Ghariri.
Moroccan House of Representatives, the first chamber of parliament, said in a statement that the ambassador of Saudi Arabia stressed during the meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Morocco Habib al-Malki the strength of brotherly relations, which brings together the two countries and their people.
Ghariri praised the great development that Morocco has known in recent years under the leadership of King Mohammed VI. He also lauded the urban development achieved in the field of infrastructure and transportation in particular.
The Saudi diplomat also recorded the prosperity of the tourism sector in Morocco, highlighting the importance of encouraging tourism exchange between the two countries.
For his part, Speaker Maliki noted the depth of historical bilateral relations, praising the firm position of Saudi Arabia on the territorial integrity of Morocco and its solidarity with Rabat over the years.
The Speaker expressed the desire to strengthen relations of cooperation with the Shura Council in Saudi Arabia. He also invited the Speaker of Shura Council to a working visit to Morocco, which will be an occasion to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral relations in all fields.
