Saudi Ambassador to Iraq, Abdulaziz Al-Shammari announced that Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi will visit the Kingdom on Wednesday.
In remarks to Al Arabiya television on Tuesday, he that the trip will take place at a “significant time” and that the PM will discuss several political, security and economic affairs.
He is also set to sign several agreements covering several issues.
The envoy revealed that Saudi Arabia and Iraq are seeking to open more border crossings between them, saying the Arar portal was working “around the clock.”
Moreover, he cited the growing cooperation between the neighbors, saying their joint coordination council was constantly holding meetings.
An important meeting between businessmen will be held soon, Al-Shammari added.
