Saudi Airlines Launches First Direct Flight to Erbil

Saudi Arabian Airlines launches its direct and regular flights between Saudi Arabia and Erbil. (SPA)

Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA) launched on Monday its direct and regular flights between Saudi Arabia and Erbil, the capital of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

The first flight (SV0625) departed from King Abdulaziz International Airport and arrived in Erbil International Airport after three hours.

Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Iraqi Consul in Jeddah Akkab Fesal Al-Kaoud, media representatives and other guests were on board of the flight.

The flight was received by Saudi Ambassador to Iraq Abdulaziz bin Khalid Al-Shammari, a number of ministers of the regional government and leaders of Iraqi Civil Aviation and Erbil International Airport.
