Saudi Air Defenses Intercept Houthi Missile Fired at Najran

Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed on Tuesday a ballistic missile fired by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen at the Kingdom, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

Arab coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said that the missile was launched from Yemen’s Amran region at Saudi Arabia’s Najran city.

The rocket was deliberately directed at residential areas, he charged.

The air defenses destroyed the missile and no one was injured in the incident, added Maliki.

This hostile act demonstrates the Iranian regime’s ongoing involvement in supporting the Houthis with weapons in clear and blatant violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions 2216 and 2231, he stressed.
