Sauce Gardner wasn’t kidding.
With the talk that the New York Jets could be in line to acquire Aaron Rodgers, the Defensive Rookie of the Year for Gang Green tweeted, “I promise if you become a Jet, I won’t pick you off in practice & I’ll burn the cheesehead.”
It was a brilliant piece of recruiting … but he kept his promise even though Rodgers isn’t a Jet (yet).
He took to YouTube to show that he really did burn the cheesehead that he put on — with some of his teammates — after the Jets’ game against the Packers last season. This is the way you do recruiting, right?
We’ll see if that puts it over the top for Rodgers soon.
