The NI Football League have confirmed that all Saturday afternoon's Danske Bank Premiership matches have been rescheduled out of respect for the funeral of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Prince Philip is due to be laid to rest at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
There had been four Irish League fixtures scheduled to kick off at that time, although all have been moved to either Friday night or Saturday afternoon.
A minute's silence was held for Prince Philip at four of the six games last weekend, the exceptions being Warrenpoint Town's home game against Coleraine and Glentoran's match with Dungannon Swifts at the Oval.
A club statement from Glentoran later explained how they had chosen to mark the sad passing of the Duke of Edinburgh in “a dignified and respectful manner” by lowering the flag and sending condolences to the Queen.
"However as a club we recognise the depth of feeling across much of our support base and wider community was for a more public mark of respect to be displayed," the statement continued. "There has been dangerous and baseless commentary since yesterday’s match suggesting this was a snub or that any part of the club was against such a mark of respect. This is simply untrue.”
