Saturday's best bets for TV

A look at the top events at the Rio Games on Saturday:

Track and field

Now that Usain Bolt has won a triple-triple, can Mo Farah of Britain win a double-double? Farah won the 5,000- and 10,000-meter races four years ago in London. He's already won the 10,000 in Rio and Saturday he goes in the 5,000. The controversial Caster Semenya of South Africa will be going in the 800 meters. She has been the subject of much conjecture because the level of testosterone in her system is more along the lines of a man than a woman. She has been ruled eligible to compete.

Soccer

Brazil was mightily embarrassed two years ago when Germany beat it, 7-1, in World Cup soccer play. It's not the national teams but two modified U-23 teams that will play in the men's soccer final. A crowd of about 80,000 is expected at Maracana Stadium for the "rematch."

Basketball

The U.S. women's basketball team might be the most dominant of any team to ever play in the Olympics. They will be playing Spain to win their sixth straight gold medal. The teams met in pool play and the U.S won by 40 points. Questionable for the game is star guard Sue Bird, who has a sprained right knee.
