Saturday Night Takeaway viewers complain after 'inappropriate' song aired on final show

Concerned viewers took to social media to slam an "inappropriate" song on popular show Saturday Night Takeaway.

Singer Raye performed her latest hit Bed with DJs Joel Corry and David Guetta on the final show of the series.

But some fans slammed the show's decision to air the song's lyrics "I got a bed, but I'd rather be in yours" in front of a family audience, Manchester Evening News reports.

One viewer said: "Two things one inappropriate song for children and two If she’s in my bed where am I going to sleep."

Another sarcastically tweeted: "Yeah really family appropriate song..." A third person was also sarcastic and tweeted: "Appropriate lyrics for a family show."

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly hosted the final episode of their TV show on Saturday night (ITV)

However, some viewers saw the funny side with one saying: "My dogs anthem... I've got a bed but I'd rather be in yours tonight."

Other viewers applauded the hit song which peaked at number six in the charts.

One excited viewer tweeted: "Bloody love new single Bed. Just such a fab song. And I LOVE how happy Joel is when he DJs - you can tell he's just living his dream and it's so awesome to watch."

"Brilliant opening from Rae", another said, while others were singing along at home. "@raye giving us VOCALS on #SaturdayNightTakeaway," they tweeted.

Last month a Newcastle nana got the shock of her life when Ant and Dec crossed live to her living room to tell her she'd won a holiday as she celebrated her 100th birthday.
