Saturday Night Takeaway viewers can't stop laughing over £5,000 Moonpig prize

Saturday Night Takeaway fans should know by now to expect the unexpected on the family entertainment show, but they couldn't stop laughing at one stand-out moment.

Viewers took to Twitter after a viewer won a prize that captured their imaginations and the crying-with-laughter emoji was repeatedly pressed.

Hosts Ant and Dec were pleased to tell one lady that she's won a £5,000 voucher to spend at Moonpig, which many viewers immediately associate with greetings cards.

This led fans to joke that she's never have to buy a card again.

"Five grand?!? to spend at Moonpig?!? remarked one.

"Yes, here’s a card for waking up this morning. Oh, here’s a card for putting on your shoes."

"Watching Saturday Night Takeaway and the win the ads winner has won £5000 to spend at Moonpig," tweeted another.

"Quick maths sez a thousand cards.... Merry Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday etc"

Another laughed: "Five grand on Moonpig, the family are all getting Moonpig cards for the rest of their lives."

"£5000 on Moonpig," another exclaimed.

"She can stock up on cards for the rest of her life!"

And another said: "Every one of her family and friends will now receive Moonpig cards, flowers, chocolates and wine for every occasion for the next 10 years."

Many viewers were unaware that Moonpig has a wide range of products and not just cards.

Another laughed: "Do people not realise you can buy gifts and flowers as well as cards at Moonpig?"

Last year an NHS worker, who played the Win the Adverts segment, took home a toilet roll to much amusement.

The healthcare worker won the loo roll during a time of panic-buying and stockpiling at supermarkets across the country, as well as a car.

Tonight Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly also took part in a bizarre game with co-star Stephen Mulhern which viewers remarked reminded them of What Time Is It Mr Wolf? from their school days.
