Saturday Night Takeaway has launched an appeal to find lockdown heroes to honour in its new series.
The hit ITV show, hosted by Ant and Dec, was last on screens earlier this year with its final few episodes affected by the coronavirus pandemic as the lads, firstly had to host the show without a studio audience for the first time in its 17 year history and, then end up presenting separately from their own living rooms as the country went into lockdown and social distancing restrictions tightened.
Takeaway WILL be back on TV next year and will pay tribute to people who have gone above and beyond during these uncertain times.
Making an appeal for lockdown heroes on its official Facebook page on Saturday morning, a post read: "Ant and Dec ARE BACK (hooray!) and with a shiny new series of Takeaway in the pipeline, they want to hear all about the glorious people who have really made you smile this year!
"Whether it’s a key worker who has gone above and beyond, a neighbour who's brought your community together or a child who has shown incredible kindness, nominate them here and they could be surprised as part of the new series!"
