Saturday Night Takeaway 'problem' has been 'fixed' - and fans say it's more much enjoyable

Saturday Night Takeaway fans have said the show is now 'much more enjoyable' after a problem was fixed.

Viewers took to Twitter in droves last week to complain about the noise coming from the virtual audience on a bank of TV screens last weekend.

They grumbled that it had distracted them from the action on ITV's family entertainment show as it returned for a new series, including a performance from singers Gary Barlow and Beverley Knight.

But they noticed this week the sound had improved.

"They turned the audience down a bit, since all the abuse they got last week," tweeted one fan.

"Looks like they’ve fixed the audience noise this week makes the episode so much more enjoyable," said another.

"Looks like they've sorted the crowd noise out," another viewer observed.

"Great to hear @RagNBoneMan without the virtual crowd screaming during the song," said another.

Ahead of the second episode of the series one fan commented: "I hope they've sorted out that echo problem from last week with the virtual audience."

Last week one fan said it was 'really annoying' and 'too loud.'

And another said: "We can hear the crowd in the background! SO annoying keep thinking my TV is on in the other room."

Because of coronavirus last year's Saturday Night Takeaway was without a live studio audience for the first time.

But thanks to the wonder of technology, a huge number of people of people are now joining hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly for 'the happiest 90 minutes of the week.'

Instead of a live studio audience, a massive wall of TV screens shows 300 living rooms across the country.
