Many people assume that their singing skills (or lack of singing skills!) will never win them any prizes but it couldn't have been more different for a stunned Newcastle mam on Saturday night.
Much to her surprise, Helen Terry bagged herself a free holiday to Florida for her and her family during this week's live Saturday Night Takeaway after a shock duet with Ronan Keating from the comfort of her own sofa.
There was upset on Friday night when, after some speculation, it was sadly confirmed that Saturday Night Takeaway's Florida finale had fallen victim to the worldwide coronavirus outbreak.
An ITV spokesman said: “We will no longer be broadcasting the Saturday Night Takeaway finale from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Walt Disney World has made the decision to close, beginning on Monday 16 March until the end of the month.
“The wellbeing of all our prize winners, as well as our production team, is always our number one priority. All recipients of a ‘Place on the Plane’ prize will have their prizes honoured and flown by Virgin Holidays for a 5-night stay at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida at such later date when it is practical for Virgin Holidays and Walt Disney World Resort to fulfil the prize.”
Crucially for Helen, there were still some Places on the Plane to be won with the return of Takeaway's Singalong Live. Helen was the only one of three viewers to correctly sing the missing word to a line from Ronan's number 1 Life is A Rollercoaster.
And, as you can see from the video above, her and her children were absolutely delighted!!!
