Saturday Night Takeaway 'inappropriate' kiss appalls viewers who complain to Ofcom

Saturday Night Takeaway viewers have complained to Ofcom about an 'inappropriate' kiss on the show at the weekend.

For the third week in a row, the new series of Ant and Dec's hit programme has rubbed some people up the wrong way, so much so that they've contacted the broadcasting regulator with their grievances.

The first episode of the new series prompted complaints down to the Pussycat Dolls performance , while the second saw singer Anne-Marie cause a social media furore as she sang her hit Ciao Adios, flanked by Ant & Dec wearing karate uniforms and bandanas carrying the controversial Rising Sun flag, with both her and ITV apologising for the performance .

And now it's a kiss that has sparked anger among some Takeaway viewers.

Ant and Dec fans complain to Ofcom over “inappropriate” and “disgusting” Saturday Night Takeaway kiss (ITV)

Metro reports that Ofcom has so far received 36 complaints about the embrace between parents Rob and Annette, who puckered up after Ant and Dec told their children they'd need to be embarrassed live on air in order for the family to win tickets to the series finale at Walt Disney World in Florida.

As the couple kissed each other, some people were watching at home were left disgusted and even host Ant had to step in, quipping "Ok, yes, yes, that’s it, thank you. It’s a family show."

The kiss sparked quite a reaction on Twitter, with one viewer ranting: "That kiss on Saturday Night Takeaway makes me want to vom. Looked like she was trynna suck out his bloody soul," and another posting: "Nah that kiss on Saturday night takeaway I wanna be sick."
