Saturday Night Takeaway fans in hysterics as Dec warns Ant he'll 'give kids nightmares'

Saturday Night Takeaway fans were in hysterics this evening as a horrified Declan Donnelly warned co-host Ant McPartlin that he would give children nightmares with his new look.

Tonight, the pair were hosting the show from the the comfort of their own homes as they both self-isolate following government advice.

However Dec wasn't too impressed with Ant's lounge wear attire and suggested that he get dressed properly and "make himself up" - only for him to return with a full face of make-up.

And fans were in hysterics, flocking to Twitter to comment.

One tweeted: "What the I just laughed out loud waking my mom omg Ant!! @antanddec #saturdaynighttakeaway."

While another commented: "LOL ant his make up @antanddec love it!!!!! #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

A third remarked: "Dead at Ant #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

"ANT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL #SaturdayNightTakeaway," another wrote.

Earlier on, the pair addressed viewers separately for the first time and Ant was horrified to see that his co-host was dressed much more smartly than he was.

Instead of opting for the usual suit, Ant was seen sitting on his sofa in lounge wear.

He exclaimed in mock-panic: "I thought you said no to the suit!"

However Ant did later add: "Does a tracksuit count as a suit?"

Dec confirmed that no, it did not, so Ant went to get changed and appeared after the ad break looking incredibly sharp.

Sitting down, he said: "There you go, suited and booted."

Dec replied: "Better, are you made up?"

"I think I'm happy considering the circumstances," Ant replied.

"No, no, no - make up," Dec quipped. "You could take a bit of shine off your forehead."

Hosts Ant and Dec filmed their live show last weekend without an audience - and later confirmed that it would be their last live show for this year.

ITV were forced to cancel their usual grand final in Disney World Florida and the duo have instead pre-filmed it.

Following last week's show, the show tweeted a photo of Ant and Dec with Olly Murs, Bradley Walsh, Joel Dommet, Andi Peters and Stephen Mulhern in the empty studio.

They tweeted: "Thank you all for joining us tonight! Sadly that was our final live show of the series. We hope it sparked some joy when we all need it most.

"We'll be back next week with something a bit different. Stay safe everyone! #SaturdayNightTakeaway."
