Saturday Night Takeaway fans 'disgusted' as Gordon Ramsay 'insults woman's teeth'

Saturday Night Takeaway fans voiced their disgust after guest announcer Gordon Ramsay made an 'insulting' comment about a viewer.

The potty-mouthed celebrity chef was playing the game Read My Lips, in which he had to guess what viewers were shouting at him via video link while wearing noise-cancelling headphones, when he made the remark.

As one contestant repeatedly shouted the word 'garlic bread' at him as he attempted to guess the dish, the TV star said he couldn't understand what she was saying to him because of the 'gap' in her teeth.

Fans were upset with Gordon (ITV)

One fan said they were so disgusted they switched off.

"I cant believe Gordon Ramsay just insulted that lady's teeth live on TV," they said.

"Am so disgusted I've switched it off!

"Ant and Dec laughing and didn't say anything! Well done what a fantastic example you all are!!"

"A gap in your teeth doesn't affect your speech," said another.

"No way did Gordon Ramsay just say on live TV 'it's the gap in her teeth I can't understand her,'" another viewer said.

"As if he insulted someone's teeth," said another fan.

Another wrote: "Gordon taking the joke of woman's gap teeth was uncalled for. She's beautiful and seemed lovely too."

Another commented: "I really usually like Gordon but he shouldn’t of insulted that lady about her teeth, she was very happy to have a chance at winning and that one comment could of ruined her whole night."

Another said: "Imagine being all excited to appear on #SaturdayNightTakeaway and then Gordon Ramsay says he can’t understand you cause you’ve got a gap in your teeth. Big yikes."

And another wrote: "Cannot believe Gordon Ramsay was so rude about the lady’s teeth - disgraceful!!"

Gordon is known for his short temper and hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealed earlier on that they'd invested in a bleep machine for his appearance on the ITV family entertainment show.
