Saturday Night Takeaway fans brutally blast 'worst sketch ever' with Ross Kemp

Saturday Night Takeaway viewers have hit out at last night's sketch. which they branded the "most painful one ever".

Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were joined by former Mitchell hardman Ross Kemp for a lengthy segment in which he attempted to embarrass contestant Maddy Taylor in order for her to win a holiday.

Maddy appeared surprised when she walked out onto the stage, with Ant and Dec revealing that she wasn't on the show to take part in a new gameshow.

The sketch then showed Ross Kemp's investigation "trickster" Maddy - with revelations such as her serving a friend pizza with her cat's litter on it to shrinking her husband's David Beckham shirt.

At one point mid-way through, even Dec appeared to have had enough as he sighed to the camera: "There's more."

And Ross abseiling into the studio wasn't enough to inject some life into the segment, which viewers dubbed as the "most boring thing [they'd] ever watched".

Viewers took to Twitter, with one writing: "Message to anyone who's recorded #SaturdayNightTakeaway FAST FORWARD THROUGH THE MADDY TAYLOR SEGMENT AND SAVE YOURSELF. You're welcome."

While another commented: "This Maddy Taylor segment feels longer than lockdown 3.0 #saturdaynighttakeaway

A third tweeted: "Ok I have to say I’m watching this on catch up and I’m half an hour behind and as much as I love the boys my god this Maddy Taylor segment is horrific."

A confused fan questioned: "what is this Maddy Taylor thing all about?? this is terrible, and i love this show , definitely something weird going on here #saturdaynighttakeaway."
