‘Saturday Night Live’ roasted the Jets’ horrible season in a hilarious ‘Sportsmax’ skit

In response to President-elect Joe Biden’s election win over President Trump this past November, right-wing media like Fox News, Newsmax and OAN have largely peddled unfounded conspiracy theories about Trump’s loss.

Newsmax and OAN, in particular, have dove into conspiracies that Fox News wouldn’t even air — basically denying reality as Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris are set to be sworn in on Jan. 20.

But what if the sports world had an off-the-rails, reality-denying network for the most desperate fans to turn to?

This weekend’s Saturday Night Live episode answered that question with its “Sportsmax” skit, presenting the winless Jets as actually an undefeated juggernaut that’s just been victimized in a grand NFL conspiracy.

The skit was especially hilarious when Timothee Chalamet and Pete Davidson joined in as the Jets-iest Jets fans ever.

“Let’s look at this logically, OK. Only a really bad team would only score three points in a football game. And the Jets are the greatest team ever.”

Ah, they’re so close.
