Sukuna has become an unstoppable force in Jujutsu Kaisen's final arc, but one talented artist has made a video that gives him a truly worthy opponent: Naruto's Uchiha Sasuke at his peak. While the Naruto manga concluded in 2014, Jujutsu Kaisen's story is quickly approaching its epic conclusion. In its final arc, it seems no one can stop the King of Curses, but he's never fought someone like Sasuke.
Season 2 of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime recently concluded and delivered some of the anime medium's best fights of 2023. The Shibuya arc included many notable battles, and as shared by a YouTuber, an unknown Chinese artist named yatozensei on Tiktok created a very effective edit using Sukuna's best fights from the latest season against Sasuke from the end of Naruto Shippuden.
Sukuna's fight against Jogo and Mahoraga barely made the King of Curses sweat. Still, the fan animation depicts Uchiha Sasuke at his peak and puts Sukuna on the backfoot throughout the video. Techniques like the iconic Susanoo and Rinnegan eye effectively push JJK's villain until the battle's epic conclusion. Sasuke's ultimate Indra Susanoo clashes against Sukuna's Domain Expansion, with an epic twist of an ending that'll leave long-time Naruto fans chilled.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a series that's excelled in introducing stylish, cold, and brutally powerful characters like Satoru Gojo and Ryomen Sukuna. This might be why the talented editor thought it would be entertaining to mash up anime clips of Naruto's own stylish and cold Uchiha Sasuke against the most powerful fighter in JJK. And to the enjoyment of anime fans, they were right.
Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga officially released its final chapter in 2014. According to Jujutsu Kaisen's author, Gege Akutami, it will likely end in 2024.
After Sasuke left his ninja village in pursuit of gaining power, he did just that by learning many over-the-top abilities before eventually reconciling with Naruto at the end of the series. The fan animation does a great job of showcasing his Sasanoo and even the Rinnegan powers he gained at the end of the series inside JJK's world. The abilities like teleportation, Planetary Devastation, and especially his illusionary Genjutsu skills are shown to consistently catch Sukuna off guard in a video that stars a more cold-blooded Sasuke than fans might be used to.
Sukuna started in the JJK storyline with a role similar to the Demon Fox Spirit, Kurama, within Naruto. However, Gege has taken considerable steps to make him a vile antagonist who deserves no redemption, unlike the Nine-Tails Fox Spirit. Still, his confident and frightful demeanor is a joy for fans to witness, even if he is an irredeemable foe who killed off several beloved characters.
Seeing Sasuke going all out against the villain is as epic as it is satisfying, partly due to yatozensei's editing skills. The battle is made even more thrilling because of the Boruto series' less-than-capable representation of Sasuke, who almost seems like an insult to fans compared to the version at the end of the Shippuden series. The Naruto series culminated in an incredibly epic and satisfying ending for Sasuke, something Jujutsu Kaisen fans may also encounter when the manga ends later this year.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a supernatural action anime that follows high school student Yuuji Itadori as he battles against magical curses. After Yuji selflessly saves a classmate by taking a curse into his own body, he is discovered and trained by a powerful sorcerer named Satoru Gojo. Gojo, who also happens to be a faculty member at a high school, enrolls Yuji there to help him and other students prepare themselves against the supernatural forces that plague humanity.
Set two and a half years after the events of Masashi Kishimoto's original anime, Naruto Shippuden continues the titular hero's attempts to become the best ninja in the Hidden Leaf Village and bring his former friend Sasuke Uchiha back to the light. The 500-episode series features the return of allies such as Sakura Haruno and Naruto Uzumaki's mentor Jiraiya, as well as the villainous organization Akatsuki.
