Sassuolo to repeat Manuel Locatelli transfer decision with Italy ace linked to Spurs and Arsenal

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has admitted that Domenico Berardi and Jeremie Boga will be allowed to leave the club next summer if a suitable offer comes in.

The Serie A side parted ways with one of their stars in the most recent window as Manuel Locatelli - who was strongly linked with a move to Arsenal in the months prior - moved to Juventus for a fee worth £31.5million.

Now, it looks as though they will be willing to sell two more of their biggest assets in Berardi and Boga as well.

“They [Berardi and Boga] certainly don’t move in January. We’ll see in the summer,” Carnevali told Tuttosport.

“The principle is the same: we are ready to sell our jewels to the big names – but only if the offers are satisfactory. Exactly as happened with [Manuel] Locatelli.”

A number of top Premier League clubs, including the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been linked with moves for Berardi in the past.

Some reports even suggested that the Gunners and the Red Devils made enquiries about the talented winger's availability, but their attempts to sign him were shut down at the time.

The Italian played an important role in Italy's successful Euro 2020 run, and also enjoyed a fine season for Sassuolo last campaign, scoring 17 goals and providing eight assists in 30 Serie A appearances, helping his side cement an eighth-placed finish in the top-flight.

Meanwhile, Boga reportedly wanted to leave in the summer, and his performances captured the attention of both Leicester and Leeds United.

However, a deal never materialised for him and he stayed put.
