Sasha needs a new place to call home

Animal welfare experts are appealing for a new home for an older dog in their care.

Sasha is a 10-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross Collie currently living at Dogs Trust West Calder.

Her carers say she is a loving girl who loves to be in the company of people, playing tug with you or chasing after bubbles in the garden.

A spokesperson for Dogs Trust said: “Sasha is an active dog who enjoys her walks, especially if there is an opportunity to go for a paddle or swim.”

The spokesperson added that Sasha will need to be the only dog in her new home.

They added: “She is uncomfortable around other dogs and would prefer to walk in quiet areas. She is house-trained and can be left alone for a few hours.”

If you think you think you could provide a home for Sasha or any of the 50 dogs currently available for rehoming, please contact the centre on 01506 873459.

You can also follow Dogs Trust West Calder on twitter @DT_WestCalder or Instagram @dogstrust_westcalder for regular updates on events and dogs available for rehoming.

Please look at the Dogs Trust website for access during the coronavirus outbreak.
