Sasa Kalajdzic breaks silence on future amid £15m Everton transfer rumours

Sasa Kalajdzic is demanding clarity from VfB Stuggart over his future as a number of Premier League clubs reportedly look to swoop for his signature - including Everton.

According the the Mail, the giant 6ft 7in target man is currently subject to interest from the Blues, with Manchester United and Chelsea also said to be in the mix. The 25-year-old Austrian international played in VfB's 1-1 draw against RB Leipzig on Sunday and with speculation around his future rumbling on, he admitted to reporters after the match that he was like to get the situation settled, one way or the other.

Speaking to DAZN, the £15m-rated Kalajdzic said: "I don’t know myself how my future will turn out but that will become apparent in the next few weeks or as soon as possible, but I can’t influence many things either."

Kalajdzic showed he is more than just a goalscorer against Leipzig, providing the assist for Naouirou Ahamada's equaliser, to earn Pellegrino Matarazzo's side a point.

He scored 16 goals in his debut Bundesliga season in 2020-21 and scored a further 15 last season, in what was an injury-hit campaign. VfB sporting director Sven Mislintat wants Kalajdzic to sign a contract extension, but with the supposed interest from the trio of Premier League clubs, he could be on his way to England.

Everton are need urgent need of attacking reinforcements after Richarlison was sold to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer and Dominic Calvert-Lewin suffered a fresh injury ahead of the new Premier League season.
