SAS: Who Dares Wins viewers astounded at how candidates keep their cool during savage challenge

SAS: Who Dares Wins ends tonight, but even five series in, fans aren't used to how brutal the show can be.

Tonight's final sees the contestants screamed at as the interrogators attempt to make them lash out by abusing them.

Fans are stunned by the challenge - taking to social media to question how anybody can keep their cool in a situation like that.

One interrogation sees recruit Chris yelled at, as he's branded a "p****" and that he's got an empty head.

One fan wrote: "The interrogation on SAS: Who Dares Wins is savage! How people keep their cool is beyond me!"

Another penned: "'I'll sling you around the room like a wet b******'. 15 minutes into SAS: Who Dares Wins. Quite a vivid description. #SASWhoDaresWins."

"Watching SAS: Who Dares Wins for the first time," a third tweeted, "And it's absolutely bats***."

A fourth wrote of the interrogator: "This bald fella on SAS Who Dares Wins what a b******."

They were referring to something the interrogator says to Chris as he tries to get him to lose his cool and attack him.

Watching a live feed of the interrogation, the higher ups commend Chris, saying: "He never broke eye contact. Good on you son!

"He's managing it really well..."

When the interrogation phase came to a close for four recruits, Ant Middleton tells them: "The interrogation phase is over.

"The nightmare is finished. F****** prepare yourselves for the next 24 hours."

"Today will be your hardest day," he later tells them as they're driven into the mountains to take on challenges designed to make them quit.

"It's meant to simulate war," said Jason Fox, "Because it war, it's never over."
