Sarah Vine in Twitter slip up as she remembers visit to Glasgow's 'Ubiquitous Fish'

Glasgow's got plenty of iconic restaurants that we're rightly proud of - and the Ubiquitous Chip is surely one of the most well known.

Or maybe not quite as famous as we thought...

UK Cabinet Minister Michael Gove's wife Sarah Vine was reminiscing about her time spent in Glasgow in years gone by, celebrating some of her favourite things about the city - like the leafy west end, and the "Ubiquitous Fish".

In response to a tweet announcing plans for the UK's Cabinet Office to create new headquarters in Glasgow, Ms Vine said: "I like Glasgow. Used to go there quite a lot when I was a youngster. Ubiquitous fish, west end etc. They’ll love it."

We're not personally familiar with the Ubiquitous Fish, but we'd be intrigued to find out more!

The slip up caught plenty of attention from other Twitter users, with one commenting, "Someone really needs to open a seafood restaurant in Glasgow and call it Ubiquitous Fish."

Another added: "After the Ubiquitous Fish, I like to head for a drink in Oh One More, named for its late license."

Meanwhile another person joked, "Pretty sure I saw Ubiquitous Fish play Nice n Sleazy's in 2018."
