Sarah Jessica Parker claims she would be too embarrassed to ever post a selfie

Sarah Jessica Parker has said she would be too embarrassed to ever “post a selfie” on social media.

The Sex and the City actress has shunned the millennial craze in an interview with Yahoo! where she explained her recent arrival to Instagram.

Parker said: “I think I came late to social media in general, so I was very thoughtful about how I wanted to use it because there are countless examples and ways that are far too mercenary and awful and vulgar.

“I could never post a selfie. I’m embarrassed to even do a selfie with a nice person on the street,” she said.

While Parker is not one to post a selfie herself, she has been pictured in a fair few such as this one with Stella McCartney in 2014.

The fashion icon instead chooses to use her social media presence to share photos of her wardrobe, children, travels and various skylines.

Parker said she likes that social media allows her to keep in touch with people she doesn’t see very often but noted the dark side of the internet, explaining “people have said unfriendly or vulgar things” on her pages.
