Actress and Love Island US presenter Sarah Hyland has said “I do” to Wells Adams in a California wedding ceremony on Saturday.

The former Modern Family actress took to Instagram to share the first wedding photo of the newlyweds on Monday, just two days after their nuptials took place at the Sunstone Winery, near Santa Barbara.

The 31-year-old was glowing in a traditional white wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline, tulle off-the-shoulder sleeves, and a fishtail design.

Meanwhile, Wells Adams, 38, known for the Bachelor in Paradise, looked on lovingly at his bride.

The pair, who got engaged in Fiji in July 2019, were initially set to wed in August 2020, until coronavirus restrictions delayed the event.

Hyland captioned the post with their wedding date, “✨8.20.22✨”.

Fellow celebrities and friends commented their congratulations, with Jameela Jamil writing, “OH MY F****** GOD YOU ANGELS.”

Brandi Cyrus commented: “ICONS.”

Italia Ricci added: “Hot damn. Leave some good looking for the rest of us. Congrats you two 😘.”

The couple were also joined by Hyland’s Modern Family castmates for the ceremony, with Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who played Mitchell Pritchett on the comedy series, officiating the wedding.

Fans were excited to see the castmates still close following the end of the show in 2020, after 11 seasons since its start in 2009.

Ariel Winter, 24, who played Hyland’s sister Alex Dunphy, also attended the ceremony, with Ferguson posting a snap of the pair beside each other with the caption “sisters for-eves”.

One fan commented on Twitter: “that’s my family I’m crying”.

Hyland has also previously shared that Adams had “tracked down Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell”, who played her parents Clare and Phil Dunphy in the show, to ask their permission to marry her.

The actress has called Bowen and Burrell her “second set of parents”.

The rest of the cast, including Sofia Vergara (Gloria Delgado), 50, and Nolan Gould (Luke Dunphy), 23, were also some of the 150 guests invited by Adams and Hyland, who played Haley Dunphy in the popular TV show.

The happy couple were also joined by close celebrity friends including Vanessa Hudgens, 33, who was a bridesmaid for Hyland on the day.
