Sarah Harding 'was plotting huge music comeback' before breast cancer diagnosis

Sarah Harding was said to be planning on making a huge music comeback before she was diagnosed with cancer.

The former Girls Aloud singer, 39, had reportedly set her sights on blues music, and was hoping to release an album dedicated to the genre.

The singer, who is currently battling breast cancer, had been honing in on her vocal skills and had even taken up guitar classes in a bid to be seen as a ‘raw’ artist.

A source close to the star told The Sun that Sarah was determined to ‘revamp’ her image after the success of Girls Aloud.

“Sarah really wanted to revamp herself as an altogether different kind of artist to her Girls Aloud days,” the insider revealed.

“She was on a journey to find herself musically and rebrand as a blues artist, as that’s where her passion is.

"She was playing guitar all night until her fingers bled and watching videos of her favourite performers in order to perfect her sound.

“Her health issues meant she didn’t get a chance to lay down any tracks, but there’s hope she will eventually be well enough to put out the kind of music she loves.”

Sarah was hoping to ‘surprise people’ with her blues voice and was also looking forward to being her own boss and working on her own after being a part of a girlband for so many years.

It comes after Sarah released a solo single in a bid to raise funds for breast cancer amid her own battle with the disease last month.

The Promise singer released the song titled Wear It Like A Crown after rediscovering it while she penned her new tell-all book, Hear Me Out.

When announcing its release, Sarah revealed that she will donate all the money made from her solo single to the Christie NHS Foundation.
